When specifying grass seed for use in a particular project, it is vital the correct mixture is used in order to ensure a quality appearance for the finished area.  On occasion, contractors have been known to use cheaper substitutes for top performing seed mixtures.  This inevitably leads to disappointment due to the inferior performance of these cheaper mixtures.  In a successful project, it is often the case that the grass provides a beautiful background to the architecture or landscape; in an unsuccessful project, poorly performing grass can put the whole project at risk.
